Cisco security advisory

On 1 June 2021 Cisco published a Security Advisory to address a vulnerability in multiple products:

  • Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software – versions prior to 9.8.4.38, 9.12.4.24, 9.14.3, 9.15.1.15 and 9.16.1.3
  • Cisco Content Security Management Appliance (SMA) - versions prior to 13.8.1 and 14.1.0
  • Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA) - versions prior to 14.0.0-692 GD
  • Cisco FXOS Software - versions prior to 2.2.2.149, 2.3.1.216, 2.6.1.230, 2.7.1.143, 2.8.1.152 and 2.9.1.143
  • Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA) - versions prior to 14.0.1
  • Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software – versions prior to 6.4.0.12, 6.6.5, 6.7.0.2 and 7.0.0
  • Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance – versions prior to 12.1 SP4 ES

Exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an authenticated actor to impersonate another authorized user when interacting with an application.

Cisco has indicated that it is aware of proof-of-concept exploit code available for this vulnerability.
